What makes a self? Is it a horrific and monolithic oneness, a tyranny of “I,” or is it a unity of purpose scattered across many souls, large and small? The argument will be settled once and for all (perhaps) on the bloomtides of Nadir as a child returns to the swarm that birthed us.
